Thomas Green came to the Natchez District in the 1780's.  He served as a commissioner for GA, & was involved in creating the short-lived Bourbon Co. in the MS Territory.  His family
settled on the waters of Coles Creek in what is now Jefferson Co.
His sons-in-law included Cato West & Thomas Hinds.
