THIS CEMETERY IS LOCATED OFF OF HIGHWAY 84, BEHIND ST. PAUL COLORED BAPTIST CHURCH. IT IS NOT IN VERY GOOD CONDITION BUT RECENTLY MR. MAGRUDER DRAKE HAD A FENCE ERECTED AROUND IT.

THESE LITTLE GRAVES OF THE 8 CHILDREN ARE IN A GROVE OF TREES, THERE IS NO FENCE. [DOT SOJOURNER GIVES THE INFORMATION THAT THE "S" IN THE P. & S. CARTER STANDS FOR SUSANAH GRIFFIN CARTER, DAUGHTER OF ABSOLOM & SUSANAH CALIHAN, FROM THE CAROLINAS, NOT NEW JERSY]

To find Wayside Plantation & Cole Tract go out Hwy 61N until the sign "Kingston Road", truck stop on hill on left & a church. Turn left & go abt 12 miles. Start looking for "Wayside" sign on left. 2 or 3 miles down that road you will see the sign of Wayside Plantation.

THIS ONE LONELY GRAVE IS ACROSS THE ROAD ON HIGHWAY 84, NOW CLOSE TO THE COLORED SCHOOL. IT HAS A SUBSTANTIAL IRON FENCE AROUND IT.

HE REQUESTED TO BE BURIED NEAR HIS BELOVED CHURCH, AND WAS UNTIL SEVERAL YEARS AGO, THE HIGHWAY WAS BUILT AND SEPARATED HIS GRAVE FROM THE CHURCH.
