CEMETERY IS LOCATED ON LINDEN PLACE, NATCHEZ, MISS. BRICK WALL IN PERFECT CONDITION WITH IRON GATE SURROUNDING CEMETERY, IT IS KEPT UP BY MISS CATHERINE DUNBAR OF THIS CITY, A NIECE OF MARY KER. GRAVES ARE UNDERGROUND VAULTS WITH MARBLE SLABS.

RESURVEYED AT THE NATCHEZ CITY CEMETERY AUGUST 20, 1988 BY SARAH & BOB SHUMWAY - 5 OF THE DATES SHOWN ON THE ORIGINAL "W.P.A." SHEETS WERE INCORRECT. TEN OF THE FIFTEEN GRAVES HAVE BEEN RELOCATED TO THE "BROWNS FINAL ADDITION" OF THE NATCHEZ CITY CEMETERY. THOSE GRAVES FOUND IN THE CITY CEMETERY ARE IDENTIFIED ON THESE TWO PAGES WITH THE NUMBERS: 1,2,3,4,5,7,9,10,11 & 12.

THIS CEMETERY IS SITUATED TO THE REAR OF "SWEET AUBRUN" HOUSE, OWNED BY MRS. BESSIE RATCLIFFE. THE CEMETERY IS IN GOOD CONDITION. AT THIS DATE (1990) MRS. ROWLAND SCOTT IS RESIDING AT THIS HOME.

RE-SURVEYED JANUARY 17, 1990 BY MR. PATRICK POWERS.

While cleaning up the sandbar at Vidalia, La. the city workers discovered a headstone marked "John Wesley Monette, son of Dr. J.W. & C.J., June 27, 1848" This may be an original stone for #4 above. An attempt will be made to return the stone to it's proper location.

Mr. Rowland Scott is buried in this cemetery - his headstone was kept in the kitchen of the house facing the wall, the inscription could not be read at the time the cemetery was re-surveyed. Mrs. Rowland Scott is now deceased and it is presently unknown if she is also buried here or if she has a headstone.
